Dermal Filler Treatments
Fillers are an excellent treatment to restore volume & create a more youthful, rejuvenated facial appearance.
How does it work?
A dermal filler is a sugar gel that consists of a substance that mimics what is naturally found under the skin. Dermal filler strongly binds with water & is used to create volume to the face. As we age, our skin loses elasticity & natural hydration. This, combined with the effects of gravity, can lead to lines, wrinkles & sagging of the skin.
Is the treatment safe?
Side effects are generally rare, mild & short lived. A small number of people may experience prolonged redness & swelling. Side effects are usually minimal & may consist of bruising, swelling, tenderness & redness.
How long does it last?
The duration of the effects of dermal filler varies from client to client & the area treated. Touch ups are essential in keeping the aesthetic size & shape you desire.
Is the treatment painful?
A local anaesthetic may be used to numb the area. Alternatively, the area can be cooled with ice to minimise discomfort. This reduces the feeling in the area & also helps to reduce bruising.

Treatment Note:
We recommend scheduling an appointment at least 2-3 weeks prior to an important event (e.g. wedding, travelling overseas) to allow any possible bruising & swelling to subside completely
It is best to avoid vigorous physical activity intakes of alcohol for 24 hours as this increases the risk of bruising
Dermal filler should not be used on pregnant or breastfeeding women
