Bio-stimulating Injections

Unlike traditional dermal fillers, which primarily add volume to specific areas, bio-stimulating injections work by triggering the body's natural collagen production processes, resulting in gradual and natural improvements in skin texture, firmness, and elasticity over time.

How does it work?

Bio-stimulating injections are a type of injectable treatment used in aesthetic medicine to stimulate collagen production and improve skin quality, containing the active ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, which primarily add volume to specific areas, bio-stimulating injections work by triggering the body's natural collagen production processes, resulting in gradual and natural improvements in skin texture, firmness, and elasticity over time. These substances are biocompatible and gradually biodegradable, meaning they are safely broken down and metabolized by the body over time.

Bio-stimulating injections are typically used to address concerns such as:

  • Wrinkles and Fine Lines: By stimulating collagen production, bio-stimulating injections can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, particularly in areas such as the cheeks, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines.

  • Skin Laxity: These injections can improve skin laxity by promoting the production of new collagen fibers, resulting in firmer and more toned skin.

  • Volume Loss: Bio-stimulating injections can restore lost volume in areas such as the cheeks, temples, and jawline by stimulating the body's natural collagen production.

How long does it last?

Results may differ. Typically we see results at the 4-6 week mark after first and second treatment, lasting around 24 months. Photos are taken prior and a review is recommended 6 weeks post second treatment to compare results. 

How many vials and treatments required?

2 vials per treatment, over two treatments, 6 weeks apart. In some cases, a third treatment is required for mature patients or some medical conditions. Thorough consultation is provided to assess suitability and criteria.

Where can bio-stimulators be used?

This fantastic treatment can be used to face, neck and body such as the buttocks for hip dips, knees and stomach for skin laxity. Note: Larger body areas require multiple vials per session, determined upon detailed consultation.
